This is a final call for Sheriff and Constable, Place 4 applicants wishing to be placed on the ballot in the November general election as Republican Candidates. Interested persons residing in Hidalgo County, having a strong law enforcement background, and having voted in the 2014 Republican Primary or not having voted in either primary election are invited to send a resume to the following:

JOINT LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING COMMITTEE: Human Trafficking
TIME & DATE: 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 24, 2014 PLACE: La Joya, Texas
CHAIR: Sen. Joan Huffman and Rep. Senfronia Thompson
The Joint Interim Committee to Study Human Trafficking will hear invited and public testimony on Thursday, July 24th at 10:00 a.m. at La Joya ISD, School Board Auditorium at the Central Office. Address: 604 Coyote Dr, La Joya, TX 78560.
The Committee will:
* Hear testimony on ways to further combat human trafficking along the Texas border and region
* Discuss services available to victims
The next meeting will be Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 6:30P.M. at 5804 N. 23rd Street, McAllen, Texas 78504. All Executive Committee members are expected to attend and all other interested persons are welcome.
Several important items will come up for a vote and we will be discussing the bylaws. Copies of the agenda and the proposed bylaws have been mailed to every member. If you have not yet been sworn in, please prepare to do so at this meeting.
