Our next meeting is Tuesday, August 30 at 6:00 PM at headquarters. Address is 1109 W.Nolana, Suite 306 in McAllen.
We will have the Trump/Pence signs and bumper stickers available for sale at the meeting. We are selling these at our cost. Yard signs are $5, fence signs are $10 and bumper stickers are $1. We also will have the large 4×8 highway signs that have to be put up with wooden posts. Cost has not yet been determined but will probably be around $35. This will pay for the sign, the lumber and the labor to put them up.
As soon as we can find enough volunteers to man the office, we will open. Many people have been asking how to get yard signs. The office hours will be Noon until 6:00 on weekdays and 10:00 until 1:00 on Saturdays. We are asking that people sign up for a 3 hour shift once a week. If we have enough volunteers, we can add another shift and open at 9:00 on weekdays. Please let us know if you are willing to donate at least 3 hours per week until the election is over.
I haven’t seen a single Hillary sign in Hidalgo County so let’s get this office open and flood our neighborhoods with Trump signs!!

Ladies & Gentleman, we are currently in our Runoff Election. There are several elections ongoing with Runoffs, so please attend your local poll station and cast your ballots for your candidate of choice! Ballot Style #1 for those inside CD15 includes the race for US Representative. Ballot Style #2 are for Hidalgo residents outside of CD15, so it does not include that race. The last day of Early Voting, where you can use ANY poll station, is Friday, May 20th. ELECTION DAY is Tuesday, May 24th, where you can only attend your Precinct’s specific poll station, and not just any poll station across the county. So get out and vote!
Hidalgo County Republicans blast Texas HB 1596 and its author, State Representative Bobby Guerra, that calls for the establishment of a healthcare district in Hidalgo County, one of the most over-taxed and poorest counties in Texas.
Hidalgo County Republicans unanimously approved a resolution to defeat any attempt at establishing a healthcare district within the county. Indigent care is already funded by the taxpayers through property taxes and the new medical school is already fully funded through the UT system. This bill is just another attempt to take money from the hard-working people of Hidalgo County in order to transfer it to local politicians and their cronies.
The voters of Hidalgo County already defeated a similar bill in 2014. Our local politicians responded by filing another bill with a lower tax cap under a new name. State Representative Bobby Guerra, State Senator Chuy Hinojosa and County Judge Ramon Garcia have made it clear that they have no interest in what the voters have to say. Moreover, they will continue putting these new taxes forward until they break the backs of the taxpayers
Defeating the Healthcare District, State Senator Juan (Chuy) Hinojosa, along with State Representatives Bobby Guerra and Terry Canales in 2016 is a Hidalgo County GOP priority according to Party Chair, Sergio Sanchez. If you are a voter and do not want an increased tax bill we urge you to vote for the following LOCAL REPUBLICAN candidates:
(R) Hilda Garza-DeShazo, District 41 (opposing Bobby Guerra)
(R) Mari DeLeon, District 40 (opposing Terry Canales)
(R) Velma Arellano, Senate District 20 (opposing Juan Chuy Hinojosa)
All Republican candidates oppose any tax increase.
Sergio Sanchez, Party Chairman
